How does Nia work?
Nia draws from disciplines of the martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from three intensity levels. Why was Nia created?

Why I do Nia
I was hooked to Nia after the first 5 minutes! I completed my Nia White Belt Teachers Training in 2009, Blue belt in 2011 and Brown belt in 2014. Nia has provided me with the opportunity to enhance my physical, spiritual and mental connectedness. I see it as a continual journey of discovery, through playful movement, that keeps my body juicy! After being an avid Yogi, it is wonderful to experience how Nia incorporates a variety of movements – bringing my body alive and allowing me to continually to be IN my true self.
